Seminar on Drama Education: Innovative Theory and Practice at HD Shanghai

On 10th January, a seminar on drama education was held at Beijing Chaoyang Kaiwen Academy where five teachers from various international or bilingual schools were invited to give keynote speeches on the innovative design and practice of drama for learning. Mirror Xu, Bilingual Drama Teacher at HD Shanghai Secondary School was one of the guest speakers, and shared her insights on drama education. Here at HD Shanghai, Drama is not only a course which teaches students how to be an actor or actress but is also regarded as one of the ways to break the boundaries between different disciplines and integrate them with other subjects to facilitate learning. It is believed that all teachers can be drama teachers, and that drama education is more than rehearsals and productions.
